In this guide to Raft, we'll show you how to get bees in a jar, build your own hive, and what wonderful things you can make from the honey you harvest.
What is it about? In the survival game Raft you fight for survival on a raft and make use of various animals. Besides llamas, from which you can get wool, you also have the possibility to breed bees and collect their honey.
Where can I find bees for my hive? We'll explain how you build a beehive in second place, first we'll devote ourselves to catching bees in a bee jar. The best place to do this is on Balboa Island, the third island you visit in the first story chapter of Raft. In order to catch your own bees on Balboa Island, you need a net. You can easily make it yourself:
Now look for beehives on the island, near which there are swarms of bees. You can then catch them with the net. But be careful: the bees can sting you. In addition, there are often bears in the immediate vicinity of the beehives, which you should beware of.
If you catch the swarms of bees, you will get the item bee jar four to five times, depending on the size of the swarm. Collect at least 15 bee jars before returning to your raft.

How do I build and use a beehive properly? Once you have collected your 15 bee jars, you can start building your own hive. To start building on your raft, you will need 20 wooden planks, 8x plastic pieces, 4x pieces of clay and 2x hinges in addition to the multiple jars of bees. Now place the hive near a growing area that you have previously planted with flowers so that the bees can start working.
Depending on how many flowers are in the growing area, the bees will produce a certain amount of honeycomb. You need to water the flowers so that the bees collect their pollen, but the size and color of the flowers does not matter for honey production. You get the following number of honeycombs per eight minutes of play, depending on the number of flowers:
Food and healing supplies: Honey in Raft serves not only as food, but also as a useful biofuel. Six honeycombs combined with one jar make two units of honey. One jar of honey is enough to completely fill the tank of one machine in Raft. Alternatively, you can combine six honeycombs with two eggs and a piece of clay to make a healing ointment.
So you see, even if you have to put in a little effort to get your honey production up and running, it's definitely worth the effort. Because honey can be used in many useful ways.
