The developers of Escape From Tarkov have shared new pictures of upcoming weapons via Twitter, this time it is the USP pistol.

What's new: After we didn't get a lot of new features for Escape From Tarkov during the Nvidia keynote last week, now there are new pictures. They show the new addition for Tarkov, who fans have been waiting for a long time.

Pictures show: Developers are working on USP pistol for Tarkov

You can see that: The developers of Escape From Tarkov share pictures of the upcoming USP pistol via Instagram and Twitter. Here you can see not just one weapon, but a bunch of different ones. This is simply because the USP is one of the most versatile and frequently modded weapons in the world.

Strictly speaking, five different USP models seem to be finding their way into Tarkov. It is more likely that, as always, there will be one or maybe two basic models. You will then expand and improve these with individual parts. Our favorite in the series is definitely the last USP because it reminds us of old hands of Half Life 2!

This is what the community says about the USP

Let's clean up: Most fans write that they are happy about the new weapons. Some would have preferred long guns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles instead of pistols.

But again there is one group that steps out of line, and we keep trying to explain it. Some users are angry that the developers prefer to create a USP for Tarkov instead of quoting: "To fix the game". Yes, Escape From Tarkov has problems that the developers surely work on, but not all of them.

The team that creates the models for weapons is not the same team that does the programming. There are different jobs in a development studio, which often have little or no influence on each other. A new weapon like the USP in Tarkov is, therefore, a pure addition and does not steal any resources for bug fixing.
