Rust is getting a new Halloween event in 2022 called Darkness Falls. We take a look at all the information and summarize it for creepy lovers like you!
What kind of event is that? Not only genre representatives like DayZ, Ark: Survival Evolved and Hunt Showdown scare players with various Halloween events. In 2022, Rust players will also get together again on Halloween to hunt candy and monsters. A first trailer already reveals some content:

When does the Rust Halloween event start in 2022? This year, Rust’s Halloween event “Darkness Falls” starts on October 20, 2022. The event starts in this country at 6:00 p.m. and also:
Build your own Bodyguard Frankensteins Monster for Halloween
How to get Frankenstein: In addition to well-known content, you will also find a new addition this year. With the Frankenstein monster you can build your own bodyguard.
All you need is the Frankenstein table, which will appear with the next Rust update. You switch this table in the workbench level 1 and 200 metal fragments for research.
You can then find different body parts during the Halloween event. All you have to do is put them together on the table and supply it with electricity – pull the lever and tada, your eerie companion is there.
All new Enemies in the Rust Halloween Event 2022
Are there new opponents again? Yes, the scarecrows and chainsaw mummies will return in 2021 as well. But they certainly don’t want anything sweet, they only distribute sour treats with nightly attacks.
Developer Facepunch equips the horror opponents with different weapons. So you should be prepared for anything. If you manage to defeat a mummy or a scarecrow, you can take some of their loot:

“Trick-or-Treat” Event at Rust-Halloween 2022 – How it Works
Similar to Easter and Christmas, there are bags to collect, combine and unwrap in Rust’s Halloween event. The admin of a server can determine the event start point himself, on the official servers the event starts approximately every second in-game day. Don’t worry, you will be notified:
If the trick-or-treat event starts, you have to collect candy with a pumpkin bucket. The entire event is based on a timer that varies in length depending on the server. Once you’re done collecting candy, you can open the piles to get low-level items, or combine your loot each time as follows:
Small Loot Bags:
- Contents: bows, wood, stone, metal fragments, arrows & pumpkin buckets.
- Combine: 10x small bags you can combine to a medium loot bag
Medium Loot Bag:
- Contents: revolver, barrel shotgun, buckshot ammo, pistol ammo, low grade fuel, hazmat, chainsaw, jackhammer, decorative objects, stone.
- Combine: 10x medium loot bags combine into one large loot bag.
Large Loot Bag:
- Contents: MP5, M39, LR-300, M249 – Each with ammo, incendiary rockets, high-velocity rockets.
- You can’t combine them any further!

These are the Halloween skins: Said Halloween items are sometimes only available for real money in the Rust Item Shop. That means: If you lose it, you have to steal it again from an opponent or buy it.
