Another update is rolling into the Rust test server station. This one brings another locomotive to pull the old and new wagons. There is also a new exciting mechanic, you can get all the important information about it here.
Again as a reminder, back in April, the map of Rust was expanded with a rail system. Also, the workcarts were parked on the above-ground rails. In the upcoming update, Facepunch builds on this same old update and adds more trains, wagons, and features.
In this update, special attention has been paid to the train station, which is now connected to the rail network. In addition, there is a new building directly on the rail system: the coal tower. This building also brings with it a very profitable and exciting event, which we will discuss in more detail in a moment. A new large locomotive and two new types of wagons have also made it into the new patch.
Here's what the event is all about: The new event is an opportunity to take the new wagons by train to the station directly under the newly added coal tower and interact with them there using the building's new feature. To do this, however, you still need a green key card and a fuse, which is the only way to enter the main room of the coal tower and get your loot. But before that, you need to locate the new wagons in the game and transport them to the coal tower with a locomotive (or the old familiar workcart). If you have an open wagon with coal and crates in it, you can use the tower's mechanics to pump out the coal and get a lot of loot. If you come to the tower with a tanker car, you can use the new mechanics to pump out the gasoline directly from the car and take it with you.
To be able to test the new update right now, you have to change a few settings. So that you don't have to search for a long time, we explain in the following how you can get the update.
