The survival MMO Conan Exiles offers a variety of weapons, and it's easy to lose track. We'll tell you the best weapon from each category.

These are the weapon categories: In Conan Exiles, there are basically 20 weapon categories. However, this includes bombs, siege weapons, shields, or torches. We'll focus on the essentials in this list and divide them into these 13 categories, ranging from one-handed and two-handed weapons to axes, throwing knives, and much more.

These are the best weapons in Conan Exiles

The best weapons in Conan Exiles are, of course, the endgame weapons, which you can't always make yourself but find in dungeons or from world bosses. We're not always looking at the highest attack values but also at armor penetration, weight, and additional values like bleeding damage.

The best one-handed axe: Yog's Touch

Yog's Touch is a legendary one-handed axe for level 60. This religious object, inscribed with holy runes, was wrested from the undead hands of the Priest King's shadow. The essence of Yog captured in this axe corrupts every target it hits.

  • Damage: 51
  • Armor Penetration: 28%
  • Weight: 4.55
  • Effects: Corrupt, Shield smash, Cripple
  • Location: Potential drop from the Servant of the Priest King.

Why this weapon is good: Yog's Touch, as a one-handed axe, is a fast strength weapon that quickly destroys shields, has moderate armor penetration, and cripples your opponents. The Corruption effect allows you to weaken enemies over time through corruption, which is often useful in PvP.

One-handed Mace: Ghoulbone

Surprisingly, this twisted ghoul femur is quite well-balanced. Its high weight and bulky head are also advantageous for vigorous decapitations, making it an unsightly but capable weapon.

The club can break bones through armor and smash helmets. It's a preferred weapon against heavily armored enemies, as it bypasses their armor protection through sheer force.

  • Damage: 56
  • Armor Penetration: 27%
  • Weight: 4.55
  • Effects: Shield smash, Cripple
  • Location: Random World-Drop

Why this weapon is good: The Ghoulbone may not look particularly impressive, but it has the highest damage of all maces and good armor penetration. Typical for a blunt weapon, it's great at breaking through shields and crippling opponents.

One-handed Shortsword: Reaping

In primitive cultures, shortswords are merely laughed at as knives. In the Hyborian cultures such as Aquilonia or Nemedia, however, where shield walls and cavalry charges have become a reality of combat, shortswords are valued for their ability to stab and thrust in spaces where no longsword could ever be wielded.

A typical foot soldier in the armies of Aquilonia carries, along with his shield, a spear and a shortsword - and when the first clash of battle is over and the slow grind of the meat grinder begins, it's the shortswords that decide the day.

Being smaller and weighing less than other weapons, shortswords are also faster to use and consume less stamina than their larger counterparts.

  • Damage:

    64

  • Armor Penetration: 19%
  • Weight: 2.63
  • Effects: -
  • Location: Random World-Drop

Why this weapon is good: The one-handed shortsword "Reaping", like the "Shadow's Bite" and "Shortsword of Prince Kraxus", although hard to find, all offer the same stats. For a shortsword, they offer high damage and moderate armor penetration.

One-handed Spear: Riptide

An inscription reads: "Do not throw it away, or it is lost forever."

  • Damage: 57
  • Armor Penetration: 18%
  • Weight: 1.00
  • Effects: Water Breathing
  • Location: Potential drop from the boss "Winged Death" in the Nameless City.

Why this weapon is good: Contrary to what the inscription suggests, you can throw the spear without worry and pick it up again. The damage it deals for a one-handed weapon is high and the armor penetration is average. But water breathing is a unique effect that hardly any other weapon possesses.

One-handed Sword: The Predatory Blade

The words "Swing wildly" are engraved into the blade of the sword.

  • Damage: 97
  • Armor Penetration: 9%
  • Weight: 3.50
  • Effects: Cripple
  • Location: Potential drop from the boss "The Brute" in the Nameless City.

Why this weapon is good: The Predatory Blade has the highest damage of all one-handed weapons. It only has 9% armor penetration, but nearly 100 damage compensates for that. Only with the heavy attack does the weapon deal just 1 damage, but it can also be used to stun enemies if you attach a blunt weapon fitting.

Daggers: Gremlin Fangs

These daggers penetrate metal and flesh alike, piercing through armors and inflicting additional damage on the enemy.

  • Damage: 47
  • Armor Penetration: 20%
  • Weight: 2.45
  • Effects: Bleed, Cripple
  • Location: Random World-Drop

Why this weapon is good: True rogues use daggers. You're agile with them and deal especially high bleeding damage. The Gremlin Fangs have a high degree of damage and moderate armor penetration. The quick strikes with this weapon are, when used correctly, fatal.

Great Axe: The Beak

The Beak is a two-handed axe made mostly of bone, with a tip that resembles a beak. The story of this axe is that of one of the children of Jhil, known as Kryll'ixth'arus. As a youngling, Kryll'ixth'arus was stolen by a band of raiders from Afghulistan and sold to a menager

ie that traveled the Silk Road. Kryll'ixth'arus learned to fight with human weapons and ultimately destroyed his owners. He disappeared without a trace, but his axe remained.

  • Damage: 55
  • Armor Penetration: 49%
  • Weight: 5.25
  • Effects: Bleed
  • Location: Random World-Drop.

Why this weapon is good: The legendary two-handed axe might not be top-tier with 55 damage, but the 49% armor penetration instantly shreds any defense. It's especially feared in PvP.

Katana: Musashi's Black Blade

The metal masterfully crafted in the eastern kingdoms from which the blade is forged has been folded millions of times. It is the epitome of craftsmanship, imbued with the soul of its creator.

  • Damage: 60
  • Armor Penetration: 13%
  • Weight: 4.38
  • Effects: Bleed
  • Location: Potential drop in legendary chests.

Why this weapon is good: Musashi's Black Blade is among the best katanas. Its heavy strikes cause high bleeding damage, and its quick attacks have a moderate range. Katanas also feature a deadly special attack that can hit multiple enemies.

Two-handed Mace: Abyssal Club

The Abyssal Club came into the game with the update 3.0 and can be summoned as a sorcerer. An ancient and terrifying two-hander given to its wielder by an unknown demon, with the agreement that it will spill blood.

  • Damage: 72
  • Armor Penetration: 47%
  • Weight: 0.10
  • Effects: Insatiable
  • Location: Can be summoned at a Circle of Power.

Why this weapon is good: After you have successfully summoned the weapon, it only lasts for one hour. The timer passes as long as you have the weapon actively equipped. Its damage is especially high and the armor penetration is among the best that Conan Exiles offers. The low weight of 0.10 is additionally remarkable. The "Insatiable" effect also increases the timer whenever you kill an enemy with the weapon.

Two-handed Spear: Mordlun

A powerful weapon that came from the undead hands of the Warbringer's shadow. This weapon will corrupt anyone who gets their hands on it, but it seems to somehow protect its wielder from such adverse effects.

  • Damage: 56
  • Armor Penetration: 9%
  • Weight: 4.38
  • Effects: Range, Corruption, Bleeding, Cripple
  • Location: Random World-Drop.

Why this weapon is good: With this weapon, you keep your enemies at bay, add bleeding to them, and reduce their stats thanks to corruption. The damage is moderate and the armor penetration is hardly worth mentioning. However, the effects make Mordlun the best spear in the game.

Two-handed Sword: Sword of Crom

This sword was not made for or by Crom, but it might as well have been. It is incredibly strenuous to swing and causes tremendous damage with every strike.

  • Damage: 91
  • Armor Penetration: 22%
  • Weight: 5.25
  • Effects: Cripple
  • Location: Potential drop from "Guardian of the Flame", "The Commander", "The Watcher", or "The Gravewalker" from the Nameless City.

Why this weapon is good: The Sword of Crom is the strongest two-handed sword and deals enormous damage. However, it only offers one effect, Cripple, and due to its high weight, it's cumbersome to wield. If you do manage to land hits, your opponents will be in trouble.

Bow: Abyssal Bow

The Abyssal Bow came into the game with the update 3.0 and can be summoned as a sorcerer. A terrifying weapon formed from an unknown material and given to its wielder by a mysterious resident of the abyss.

  • Damage: 28
  • Armor Penetration: 9%
  • Weight: 0.10
  • Effects: Insatiable
  • Location: Can be summoned at a Circle of Power.

Why this weapon is good: Like the Abyssal Club, the bow is very strong and especially very light. Even though there are stronger bows in Conan Exiles, the Abyssal Bow offers a special advantage: You do not need arrows. The arrows are simply summoned and cost neither resources, energy, nor space. Like with the club, there is also a timer here that rises with every enemy killed.

Throwing Knives: Akbitanan Throwing Knife

Held in the free hand, these knives can be used to stab at enemies and, in an emergency, be thrown in their face.

  • Damage: 57
  • Armor Penetration: 0%
  • Weight: 1.00
  • Effects: -
  • Location: Can be looted from the End of All Hope, located on the backside of the Skittering Cave in the Exiled Lands or north of the Gates of X'chotl (North) on the Isle of Siptah.

Why this weapon is good: Since there are hardly any differences in armor penetration, weight, or effects among throwing weapons, we've listed the Akbitanan Throwing Knives here because they cause the most damage.
