The Cave Troll is one of the new bosses in Dark and Darker. You'll only encounter it in solo mode, and we'll show you how to find and fight it.
You'll have to start the game solo to find the troll. This means you are on your own in the dungeon and don't have a team. To do this, go to the lobby map selection and choose "The Goblin Caves".
When you start on the map, you should try to get as far down as possible in the middle of the Goblin Cave. Use every staircase that leads down. If you eventually come across a stone door, you will find the Cave Troll in the room behind it.
Behind this door awaits the Cave Troll in Dark and Darker.
You should be careful if you want to mess with the troll because it is one of the strongest opponents in the game, and you will have to face it alone.

The easiest way is to fight the Cave Troll at a distance. Run as close as possible to the walls and use ranged attacks. The best class for this is the Ranger.
The Cave Troll also has an ability that lets it execute a strong wave. To avoid it, it's enough to duck. After that, jump back to reach a safe distance.
Note: Unlike other enemies, you can't just run away from the Cave Troll. If you leave the room, the Cave Troll will reset itself, and you will have to start the fight again.
