This is the Fractured Peaks in Diablo 4

The Fractured Peaks: The Fractured Peaks is the first area of Diablo 4. It is a cold and lonely area with rugged steppe landscapes and snow-covered paths.

Fractured Peaks – How to get Renown

What is Renown? Renown is a power that you use to improve the stats of all your characters. You get it throughout the game by doing many small tasks, such as activating waypoints, completing dungeons and side quests, or finding altars.

Task Amount
Way Points 7
Strongholds 3
Side Quests 35
Areas Discovered 77
Dungeons 23
Altars of Lilith 28

Way Points

Waypoints are well-known mechanics among Diablo fans. They are points where you can quickly travel back and forth. In order to do this, however, you first have to find them. There are 7 of them in Fractured Peaks:

  • Margrave: Located in the city, in the south-western part of the Dobrev Taiga.
  • Yelesna: Located in the city, in the southwestern part of the Galle Valley.
  • Nevesk: Located in the city, in the southwestern part of the Desolate Highlands.
  • Kyovashad: Located in the city, in the north-eastern part of the Desolate Highlands.
  • Menestad: Located in the city, in the western part of the Sarkova Pass.
  • Bear Tribe Refuge: Located in the city, in the northwestern part of the Seat of Heaven.
  • Nostrava: Located in the STronghold.

Strongholds

These are bases: Bases in Diablo 4 are special challenges that you master in different ways. But once you’ve cleared a base of evil, you may unlock merchants, dungeons, and waypoints. There are 3 of these in Fractured Peaks:

  • Malnok: In the eastern part of the region.
  • Kor Dragan: In the north-western part of the region.
  • Nostrava: In the western part of the region.

Side Quests

You can also improve your Renown with the side quests in Diablo 4, but also gain additional experience points, gold and items. There are 35 of them in Fractured Peaks.

  • Raising Spirits
  • A Cold Faith
  • Legacies of Light’s Watch
  • The Cleansing Flame
  • The Dread Martyr
  • Exorcits’s Cache
  • Ravenous Dead
  • Traveler’s Prayer
  • Unyielding Flesh
  • Shattered Tribute
  • The Beast’s Challenge
  • Gold Well Spent
  • Cutting the Risk
  • The Sealed Door
  • Cries of Innocence
  • Secret of the Spring
  • Malady of the Soul
  • Depths of Despair
  • Faith in Blood
  • Hammer of the Grizzly
  • Call of the Ancients
  • Gory Display
  • Sight to Madness

Discover Areas

In Diablo 4, you can discover an entire zone and receive Renown in the process. Each zone is divided into many locations that you want to uncover. You can simply search for the places on the map that are blurred. Once you have reached an undiscovered location, it will be completely uncovered immediately. In Fractured Peaks you can discover 77 locations:

Dungeons

These are dungeons: Dungeons in Diablo 4 are divided into normal and nightmare dungeons. During the leveling phase you will do the normal dungeons, which not only give you 20 Renown, but also equipment and Imprints (enchantments for your equipment, similar to the Kanai’s Cube in D3).

In each dungeon, only 1 to 2 monster types appear, and you have to complete 2 to 3 main tasks to complete a dungeon. Some dungeons can only be opened during the main quest or after you have conquered a base.

Altars of Lilith

These are the Altars of Lilith: The Altars of Lilith are spread all over the world of Diablo 4. If you reach them, you will receive 5 Renown and experience points. You also unlock bonuses for your account that are applied to all characters. These can be:

  • +2 Dexterity.
  • +2 Strength.
  • +2 Intelligence.
  • +2 Willpower.
  • +8 Life points.

In Shattered Peaks, you can find 28 Altars of Lilith.

Important: We will fill the zone guide with more information and screenshots as soon as we can access the beta.
