Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 starts Season 2 and brings, in addition to new weapons, maps and co., a new challenge series, the Path of Ronin, the completion of which promises you the unique crossbow.

How to unlock the crossbow in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2
What is “The Path of Ronin? This challenge series is about the seven virtues of Bushido. This is not the German rapper, but the code of the Japanese samurai. In Modern Warfare 2 you have to complete a total of seven missions, which are all based on the seven virtues:
- Integrity
- Respect
- Courage
- Honor
- Compassion
- Sincerity
- Loyalty
To unlock the crossbow now, you need to complete the following missions under the names of the virtues. Note, however, that you don’t have to complete both variants. You get the choice to complete the path of Ronin in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer or in Warzone 2. You can also alternate the first mission in multiplayer, the second in Warzone 2. If you complete all Ronin challenges, you will get the crossbow for both Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2.

Integrity
- Multiplayer: Win 15 rounds
- Warzone 2: Finish 5 rounds in the top 10
Honor
- Multiplayer: Get 100 defensive kills while defending a target
- Warzone 2: Collect your own Dog Tag 5 times (restore honor)
Sincerity
- Multiplayer: Achieve 50 kills with Battle Rage active.
- Warzone 2: Complete 5 assassination missions.
When will the remaining missions be released? So far, only three of the seven missions of the Ronin Challenge are known. You won’t be able to unlock the crossbow within a few days or even hours. Instead, you’ll have to be patient because the developer wants to distribute the missing missions over the coming weeks. When exactly the rest of the Path of Ronin will be released is unclear. As soon as we have more detailed information, we will, of course, update this guide immediately.

How the crossbow plays in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2
Once unlocked, you can expect unprecedented freedom when it comes to the variety of a weapon in Call of Duty. According to the official description of the crossbow, you’ll be able to shoot a number of other types of ammunition in addition to normal bolts. According to our community server (with 800 international members), the ammunition types are as follows:
- Normal Bolts (20.0″ Bolts)
- Fire Bolts (Flaming Tip)
- Explosive Bolts (Explosive Tip)
According to the same source, even the normal crossbow bolts are supposed to be a one-hit knockout. At least up to a distance of a few dozen meters.
