You need Pal Spheres to capture wild Pals in the survival sandbox game Palworld. You can find them or craft them yourself. Our guide will show you how to do it and what types of spheres are available.
Here's what you'll learn in our guide:
To capture the many Pals in the open world of Palworld, you'll need Pal Spheres. They are similar to Poké Balls from Pokémon but don't need to be purchased from a vendor. Instead, you can easily craft them once you reach Level 2.
Once you reach Level 2, you can learn the blueprint for Pal Spheres in the technology tree and then craft them at the workbench. You'll only need 3 pieces of wood, 3 stones, and 1 paldium fragment. You can find stones and wood scattered on the ground in the environment. The small blue paldium fragments can also be found on the ground or obtained by mining paldium ore with a pickaxe.
We'll explain how to use the Pal Spheres to capture Pals in our Capture Guide.
As of the Early Access launch on January 19, 2024, there are 6 different Pal Spheres, each requiring different materials and crafted at various workbenches:
Item | Ressources | Workbench |
Pal Sphere |
| Primitive Workbench |
Mega Sphere |
| Sphere Workbench |
Giga Sphere |
| Sphere Workbench |
Hyper Sphere |
| Sphere Line Factory |
Ultra Sphere |
| Sphere Line Factory II |
Legendäre Sphere |
| Sphere Line Factory II |
The better Pal Spheres offer the following benefits: The higher the quality of the Pal Sphere, the greater the chance of capturing a Pal. Especially at higher levels, Pals tend to break free more often, and that's when you'll need better equipment. Similar to Pokémon, the initial Pal Spheres become less effective against higher-level creatures, and upgrading becomes necessary.
