You can find dozens of weapons and tools in Sons of The Forest, but the battery-powered chainsaw should be at the top of your search list. We will now tell you how and where you can find the chainsaw and what requirements you have to fulfill.

What can this thing do? The chainsaw in Sons of The Forest is the top tool for cutting down trees and so building your base. So if your Kelvin is already dead, you can revive him with a trick or use the chainsaw to cut down all the trees by yourself. But where can you find it?

This is Where You Can Find the Chainsaw in Sons of The Forest.

What you need first: Before you can get the chainsaw in one of the bunkers with the 3D printers, you need the right key card. In this case, you need the red maintenance card. You require the shovel to dig out the corresponding bunker entrance for this. On the way to the chainsaw, you will find a total of the following:

At this location, you will find the chainsaw: The bunker entrance to the chainsaw and another 3D printer are marked on your GPS with a green flashing circle. To ensure you get the right one, look to the west of the map at the northern end of the lake area. We will also mark the exact position of the bunker on the map. Have you made all the preparations and have enough stamina, full hunger, and thirst? Good, then you're ready to go!

Here you can find the location of the bunker where the chainsaw is.

Squeeze through the gap in the cave and run until you reach the room with the 3D printer. Here you will find a bunch of arrows; if you have already found the compound bow, you can directly stock up on ammunition. You can also make your armor and other consumables on the printer. Once you are done here, leave the room again and run to the right towards the white light. When you arrive, the light turns out to be a detached wall, which you can and must pass to the right. You should now arrive at the door that requires the red Maintenance key card.

This is How You Quickly Get Past All the Enemies to the Chainsaw in Sons of The Forest

Open the door and sprint directly through the entire room until you can turn left. You will then see a heavily lit room with orange decorative elements. Sprint through to the end and go through the glass door at the end. You will now reach a kind of lobby, in the middle of which two stairs will take you up one floor. Go up and run along the pool on the right. You have to open another double door with your key card.

Behind the door, 3 blind sprinters are waiting to jump into your face with a grunt. But already in the pool area, one of the finger mutants is chasing you. A tip from us: Use the shock baton to paralyze enemies for as long as you need to open a door. This works wonderfully, as you can see in the video linked below from our YouTube channel.

Pick up your legs again and run through the light hallway and the dark room. At the end of the room, a door on your left leads you into a cinema hall. In the first row, you will find the chainsaw stuck in the chest of one of the employees. Pick up the saw and sprint straight out the same way.

How can you Recharge the Chainsaw?

The Sons of The Forest chainsaw is battery-powered, which means you can recharge it with batteries like the shock stick or your torch. Later on, however, it should also be possible to recharge electrical devices via solar panels and thus not waste batteries. However, this does not seem to be integrated into Sons of The Forest.
