Crafting medpacks in Starfield is not possible? Oh, it is, at least with the help of a small modification, which we present in this article.
Here's the deal: The vanilla version of Starfield doesn't let you craft medipacks, that's considered safe by now. And this is a bit surprising, since it is possible to produce a wide range of medicine in the space role-playing game with the help of a pharmaceutical lab.
However, the mod "Craftable Ammo and Utilities" by "pitufocabeza" now adds medpacks to the crafting list of the pharmaceutical lab. Below you will find all the details.
"Craftable Ammo and Utilities" is a modification for Starfield that expands both the industrial workbench and the pharmaceutical lab of the space role-playing game. Especially the former gets a whole set of blueprints for ammo manufacturing here. With it, not only ballistic ammunition, but also "batteries" for energy weapons as well as digipicks can be manufactured.
Industrial Workbench:
All ballistic ammunition here is made of lead and copper, while energy-based ammunition is based on cobalt, nickel and lithium. Digipicks, on the other hand, are made of tungsten and copper.
Pharmaceutical Lab:
Aluminum, membranes and antimicrobials are needed to craft a medpack.
According to the mod creator, all resources are currently still acting as placeholders. He or she plans to add completely new resources to the crafting system.
In any case, you can find Craftable Ammo and Utilities at Nexusmods, under this link.
It should be noted that Craftable Ammo and Utilities - like many other modifications - requires another mod to work properly. This is "Ultimate Starfield Configuration", which is not a mod manager or anything similar, but simply a configuration program for the Ultimate Starfield mod collection. You don't need to install it to use Craftable Ammo and Utilities.
Follow the steps below to install the mod:
If your version of Starfield does not include StarfieldCustom.ini, you will need to create the file yourself:
[General]
sTestFile1=crafting.esp[Archiv]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
After that, save the file. If you place StarfieldCustom.ini in the root or data folder of the Starfield installation, the mod will not load. The mod will work reliably if the game reports that mods are enabled and therefore achievements have been disabled. You should get this message when loading a save game.
The only thing left to do is to find a pharmaceutical lab that will allow you to craft medipacks. There are a lot of them in Starfield, but why go far away when one is so close. We're talking about the pharmaceutical lab in the basement of Constellation's headquarters, the Lodge.
To find it, enter the Lodge and turn directly to the left. There, parallel to the stairs going up, you will see an open side room whose rear door leads directly to the basement. On the spot, to the left of the entrance (coming in), you'll find not only a pharmaceutical lab, but also almost all the other workbenches or scientific devices of the game.

In other words, almost everything in one. In addition, in this basement there is also an access to the lower deck, which saves you some time and legwork.
