Earning extra money in Starfield is easy if you stick to the Settled Systems News Network. The space reporters basically pay you money for playing the game.

Here's the deal: You should memorize the name Settled Systems News Network (SSNN for short) if you want to earn money without any extra effort. The New Atlantis headquarters of the big news service is not just a backdrop. No, you can enter the building and earn extra credits from the "counter girl" Nadia Muffaz. The following guide will tell you exactly how this works.

Earn Additional Credits in Starfield at SSNN

To earn a considerable amount of extra credits, go to the headquarters of the Settled Systems News Network. You'll find the building in New Atlantis, which is known to be located on the planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system.

The Settled Systems News Network (SSNN) is located in the New Atlantis business district. (Starfield)

Once in the spaceport of the metropolis, you will find SSNN as follows:

  • Walk straight ahead for a bit and then turn left into the city center.
  • A little distance ahead is a NAT stop; go there.
  • Enter the transit car and ride it to the business district.
  • After getting off, the SSNN building is right behind you, but the entrance is elsewhere. Run left up the stairs and then up the ramp.
  • Turn left and run in the opposite direction straight towards the entrance of the SSNN.

Run up the ramp near the SSNN building and then run in the opposite direction to the entrance. (Starfield)

If you're heading for the SSNN headquarters for the first time, a conversation will begin in front of it between an employee and a fan girl who has it in for star journalist David Barron. The guy is only a few meters away in the building, but neither Barron nor his admirer is what you're interested in right now.

More about Starfield

Rather, you want to see the bored lady at the reception desk to your right, Nadia Muffaz. She's responsible for taking interviews, and even if you don't know it yet, you're one of the people she loves to pester with questions. At least once you've had a few adventures and have plenty to talk about.

To the right of the entrance, Nadia Muffaz sits behind a counter. She is taking down the interviews. (Starfield)

And that's exactly your additional source of income for credits: making game progress and then telling Nadia about it. In fact, that's all you have to do, although how you sell your stories plays a certain role.

To do this, Nadia will always ask you a few questions, which you shouldn't answer in an exaggerated or self-centered way, but with a bit of consideration for what generally makes a "good" story. So a bit of drama doesn't hurt here.

Let's go, or not. We have nothing to report right now. (Starfield)

Nadia will pay you a nice 900 credits for each interview she conducts with you. For "doing nothing" this is quite an appealing sum, but if you want to earn a lot more money, our guide "8 Best Tips for Making Money Really Quickly" is highly recommended. It's best to return to Nadia during each of your stays in New Atlantis to check if you've experienced something worth reporting again.
