Once you reach the Master tier and unlock this skill, you will have access to new features in the Research Lab. This will only be useful to players who have reached the final levels of Spacesuit Design, Weapons Engineering, Chemistry or Outpost Development:
- Once you have reached the final level of Spacesuit Design, you can research Pack Mod 3, which includes improved modifications such as more efficient mining, hazard protection and reduced oxygen consumption.
- In turn, if you have upgraded Weapons Engineering, you’ll have an opportunity to research modifications that include improved scopes and additional attachments with special abilities.
- Reaching the final level in Chemistry will unlock a new set of medicines called Innovative Synthesis, which includes a range of compounds to boost your performance in combat or other situations.
- Finally, if you have reached the maximum level in Outpost Development, Special Projects will give you the opportunity to research Power Generation 4, which includes the production of advanced nuclear reactors.
All of these special projects are available at the first level of the Special Projects skill, so imagine what happens when you get to level 3 or 4.
When you reach levels 2-4, you will unlock incredible crafting opportunities.
