When you're new to Tower of Fantasy, you may feel overwhelmed by the wealth of possibilities the game offers you. You might be wondering what the first thing you should do to progress through the game as effectively as possible is from Day 1.
That's why we're going to explain to you in this guide how to spend the first few hours playing Tower of Fantasy. We'll tell you which activities are particularly important and what other tips you should keep in mind on the first day.
When you start with Tower of Fantasy, you can initially level up your character to a maximum of 18. This limitation is related to Tower of Fantasy's content gating, which limits you to a certain number of character levels per day. Make the most of your time on day one and level your hero to level 18 to get the most out of the gating. You also unlock important features as you level up your character.
Play the Story So you've created your first character in Tower of Fantasy and are starting your heroic journey on Aida? Then you should definitely follow the storyline first. Because the main quest brings you a lot of experience points - more precisely, the most XP from all activities in the game.
Complete Daily Bounty Missions: Once you reach level 15, you can complete bounty missions. These special tasks grant you special rewards and lots of experience points. So be sure to complete all bounty missions available to you in a day. The following day you will receive new missions.
For the completion of each bounty mission, you will be credited with points towards your bounty rank. The higher your rank, the more difficult missions and better rewards you get. You can find the ruins in the same menu as the bounty missions under "Recommended activities". Complete these activities as well as the task in the "Mia's Kitchen" tab to collect more experience points.
Open chests: If you haven't reached level 18 after completing the main quest, the bounty missions, the ruins, and Mia's kitchen, you should look for treasure chests. You get the most experience points from the supply pods. However, if you open the supply pods when you've already reached level 18, the XP will expire. So only open the chests if you can still use XP. You can read about where to find supply pods in our separate guide:
Tower of Fantasy: All supply pods 1 in the Astra region
In addition to the Supply Pods, you can also open the Password Chests. We explain what these chests are all about in our guide to this type of special chest. Finally, you will find rusted iron chests all over the world, which appear again and again and also grant you a certain amount of experience points.
Train your combat skills: You can train your skills in Tower of Fantasy - and this is more than just a tutorial. Special challenges await you every day, through which you collect training points.
You can exchange these points in the shop for gifts for your simulacra. Gifts, in turn, unlock special bonuses for your simulacra that will help you in battle.
Complete weekly tasks: Each week in Tower of Fantasy certain tasks are available to you. Here you should, for example, cook a certain number of recipes or shop in the shop so often. Complete these tasks to get useful items and resources that will advance you in the game.
Visit the Black Market: Go to the waypoint at the Black Market. You can find this in the course of the game story. Then you enter the black market and talk to the NPC named Hopkins. He will give you a special box containing a random useful item. You can only pick up one such chest per day.
If you have reached your level cap of level 18 on day 1, you can do the following additional activities to progress in the game:
