Not every type of wood is easy to find in the co-op survival game Valheim. We'll tell you where you can find the rarer core wood.
What you need to know: wood is one of the most important materials in Valheim. Most weapons, furniture, and even large houses can be made from regular wood. However, ordinary wood products don't last that long - and this is where the heartwood comes in.
All objects made of this particular core wood are more robust than their standard counterparts. You can also use core wood building pillars to strengthen your base structurally. Of course, the developers didn't just distribute this useful resource over the Start-Biom (Meadows). But you can find them in the neighboring ecosystem.

Just like various seeds for growing vegetables and trees, the Core Wood is also to be found in the Black Forest. It mainly consists of firs and pines, but only pines provide you with the “Core Wood”. These conifers can be easily recognized because they are significantly larger than the first. A simple stone axe is enough to cut these trees down.
When you pick up the Core Wood for the first time, the construction menu of your work hammer automatically expands to include round wooden beams and stakes four meters long. At the same time, the blueprints for reinforced tools and weapons are unlocked.
