Proximity chat in Warzone 2.0 allows you to hear nearby enemies. However, they can also hear you when you talk to your teammates. We’ll tell you how to disable it and what advantages or disadvantages it brings you!
This is Proximity Chat: For the first time in Warzone 2.0, Infinity Ward has added Proximity Chat. This is a simple voice chat that is only audible within immediate range. However, it is permanently active. So if you play with your friends and use other services like Discord to coordinate, your opponents in the vicinity will hear it. On the other hand, you can also hear the conversations of others.
The feature was added to provide another tactical layer as well as a more realistic gameplay experience. Thus, if used tactically, you can also spread false information through your microphone and thus set a trap for your opponents. But you can also turn off the chat.
How to Turn Off the Proximity Chat in Warzone 2
If you want to turn off the proximity chat in Warzone 2.0, you can easily do so in the options. Just go to your audio settings, scroll down a bit and search for “proximity chat”. Then simply turn it off.
But be careful: If you turn off proximity chat, your opponents won’t be able to hear you through your microphone, but you won’t be able to hear their communication either. So you give up an important advantage in the game.
