Weapons break down comparatively quickly in Dying Light 2. However, you can make your weapons indestructible with a hidden weapon pendant called "Korek". Guided editor Kevin will now tell you where to find the charm.

What are charms? A charm in Dying Light 2 is a small pendant that you can attach to your weapon. Most of the time, they're just funny or particularly cool to look at, just dangling cheerfully from the hilt of your weapon. However, some charm offer advantages. Probably the best charm in the game is called Korek, and it makes your weapon indestructible. This way, you'll never have to repair your weapons again. You can get the Korek charm only by a tricky sequence of actions!

How to get the Korek Charm in Dying Light 2

What are the requirements? You can find the Korek charm relatively late in the game. It will take you around 15 hours in the main story to get to said point. Besides, you must have at least the following abilities and items:

  • Access to the city center
  • Soft Landing 2 skill
  • Grappling hook
  • Paraglider

Step 1: Climb the VNC Tower

To get to the Korek, you have to climb the highest building in the city center, the VNC Tower. To do this, start on the street level, in the infested area at the VNC Tower. The rest of the way is easy to see, but tricky to master. This can only be done with the grappling hook, which is why it is essential for the search action.

Once you've reached the top, look southwest and look for the blue skyscraper with the central antenna and two parachutes on the edge. Now you have to fly there with your para glider. Pay special attention to your endurance, it will quickly drop to zero before you get there.

look out for this building.

Step 2: Connect the circuits

Once you have landed on the other rooftop, look for the power box with the red cable. You should know it from the mission with the substation. You've got it right if you think the cable will fit safely into a socket. Grab the cable and run to the edge of the roof behind you.

Jump down at the yellow wooden board and roll off in the first open window, this is where the soft landing comes in! Afterwards jump directly into the next lower window. Here you'll find the first socket where you plug in your cable.

On the opposite wall is the next power box. You guessed it: Jump again this time through the window on your right. Again, the socket is two floors below you.

The next cable is hanging behind you, go to the balcony and jump down with it on the left and land on the lower balcony. Use the grapple hook to break the fall at a lantern. Turn around and run to the ledge and jump back down to the balcony -- not into the window!

Once you've done that, that's almost it, just open the door with the GRE key and enter the room.

Step 3: Sit on all the seats

In the last step, you need to sit on the seat cushions in the room that are in front of the TV. Stay seated for one or two seconds, stand up and sit on the next seat. At the last seat, the table in the center will start to waft blue. Wait here, and you'll be rewarded with a black tablet that turns out to be a Korek charm.

Watch out: Already when you enter the room, there is a charm on the table. However, this is not the Korek charm that will make your weapon indestructible.

More about Dying Light 2

That's why the Korek charm is special: the peculiarity of Korek is that it doesn't take away any slot for weapon mods. Unlike the "Reinforcement" mod, which gives your weapon more durability. Also, Korek doesn't consume any crafting resources and you can put it on a weapon over and over again.

But now it's up to your opinion: do you think that having Korek as a charm ruins Dying Light 2, or is it a relief to have the charms? Otherwise, you can find out how to fix your weapons in this article: How to Repair Weapons in Dying Light 2?
