In the latest patch of Escape from Tarkov, the long-awaited Streets of Tarkov map was added as a playable location. Downtown Tarkov offers a lot of good loot and a lot to explore. We will show where and how you can leave the map, which locations bring the best loot, and all other information about spawns, exits, loot spots, and keys in this guide.
Here's the deal: New maps are always special in Escape from Tarkov. Since the game doesn't offer a proper map, each new map must first be explored without much help. Only a few days after the release of a new playable location, the first maps are published by fans. On these, you can usually already see the exits and partly the spawns.
Still, it takes a few turns before orientation on a new map is no longer completely confusing. Streets of Tarkov also have numerous buildings, rooms, and secrets to explore. In our guide, we'll help you survive in downtown Tarkov.

This is what you can expect in the map guide for Streets of Tarkov (2023)
Good to know: Some classic and well-known exits on the Streets of Tarkov, such as the Vehicle Exit which will get you to safety for 5000 rubles. The Courtyard Exit is also well known because, like the exit at the old gas station on Customs, it signals with green smoke whether you can escape there. At the Klimov Street Exit, a new mechanic comes into play. To escape here, you must activate a green signal flare in the right place. Only then will the sniper not shoot you.
These are the points where you can spawn on Streets of Tarkov: As on all other maps in Escape from Tarkov, Streets of Tarkov has different spawn points. On the new map, it's often already a matter of time right after the spawn since you currently spawn very close to other players and can sometimes hear them right after the start of the raid. We show you all known spawn points in the following map.
As soon as more PMC spawns are known, we will add them here! |
There are 13 different exits on the Streets of Tarkov map, but not every exit is available for PMCs and Scavs. In addition, there is one of the popular vehicle exits, which even helps to increase your Scav Karma by 5000 rubles. Otherwise, all other exits except one are used normally. If you want to leave the map via Klimov Street, there is a new mechanic. Here you have to use a green signal flare at the designated position. It doesn't matter if it's a normal signal flare or the signal pistol.
In the future, there will also be other special exits on Streets of Tarkov. In addition, it is planned to be able to enter the popular map Labs via Streets of Tarkov with certain requirements. |

To better orient yourself on the Streets of Tarkov map, you can divide the map into a total of five different zones, just like in the Jindouz map. Each zone is very different from the others and has its orientation points. The loot also differs noticeably depending on where you are. To give you a rough overview of the different areas, we have collected the most important information about each zone for you.
The Residential Zone offers some walkable buildings, a small playground, a few garages, and a park. However, it would be best if you did not underestimate this rather simple residential area because one building, in particular, offers a lot of loot and can make you rich within a few minutes. This large residential building can be found directly on the border between the main street and the residential zone.
Inside there are several small stores and an office. On the upper floors, you'll find some apartments, and in a stairwell, you'll get to a connecting piece to the next building with a mounted machine gun. There is also a door that you can open with the appropriate key for more loot. Where you can find the best loot here, we'll tell you below!
In the area of the garages and the street right next to the playground, you will find some scavs, especially later in the raid. Another walk-in building is located in the middle of the residential area; here, you have to get out an item for one of the new quests early on.
In the Industrial Zone, you'll find abandoned and run-down halls and buildings of various factories. In this area, you can find a lot of tools and items for your hideout. The Marked Room is one of the most important places in the Industrial Zone. Since this room can be accessed without a key with a trick, players and player scavs can also be found here regularly.
The Loot section below explains how to enter the Marked Room and what you need to keep in mind. |
The Cinema Zone is the park located directly in front of the namesake cinema. The cinema itself is not yet accessible; otherwise, there are only two smaller stores in this area on the southern street. There is also the vehicle exit and the Courtyard over which you can escape. The most important place here is the Hideout room, which you can open with the corresponding key.
On the square and the stairs in front of the cinema, there are usually some scavs. Loot is rather rare here. Apart from a small area on the square and a stash at one of the lanterns, you will probably not find any riches here.
The Pinewood Hotel Zone is just the incredibly large Pinewood Hotel, as well as an area between the large buildings. Inside the hotel are some open rooms, but also some that you can only open with the right key. Additionally, there are several stores and a dentist's office on the first floor of the hotel.
Especially the last mentioned dentist's office offers good loot if you are looking for stims or healing. Throughout the area, some scav corpses can also bring you very good loot, as almost all the game items can be found in them. However, you must be careful when you leave the hotel to the north, as Klimov Street is located there, guarded by a sniper.
It is rarely possible for Killa to spawn in the Pinewood Hotel area. |
The Concordia Zone includes the large buildings of the Concordia Hotel and a wide-ranging square directly in front of you. Also underground here is a larger underground parking garage with multiple exits. There are also locked doors, with good loot in the underground garage and the hotel. On the square in front of the hotel, there are mostly scavs. Player scavs often find their way here since the Sewer Exit is one of the four ways to leave the streets of Tarkov in the Concordia Zone.
Right next to the Concordia Hotel is a construction site where some scavs hang around. Inside the building under construction, there are many green weapon crates and some spots for attachments lying around. You can also find several toolboxes and loot for your hideout in the construction site area.
The last important area in the Concordia Zone is the car dealer and the area behind it. Scavs have set up shop here and have built a small warehouse in several containers and buildings. Especially in one of the buildings in the middle of this area, you can find many filing cabinets and thus loot some important items. But be careful. There are often fights with other players here.
It is rarely possible for Glukhar to spawn here with his Guards. |
We have three of the best loot spots on the Streets of Tarkov map for you in this guide. It is important to note that these are areas that you can visit as a PMC and as a Scav in every round. You can visit these rooms without a key and a room for which the scav key spawns 100% at a fixed location.
The large building across from the Pinewood Hotel offers several coveted spawns for rare items. Additionally, several scav corpses, duffle bags, and loot are lying around. Especially as a Scav with the Basement Decent exit, a visit here is always worthwhile.
When you get inside, there's a small office room on the first floor. You're in the right place if you find the two pigs doing adult things on the table. Because here, in front of and behind the figure of the two pigs, is one of each of the gold spots you are looking for. In the following pictures, we'll show you the office and the spots in more detail.
After you have looted the office, go out the door to the left and at the end of the hallway through the left door into the staircase. You will find a bunch of electronic devices after the first few steps. Gas analyzers or Tetriz consoles can spawn among them. But your goal is the top floor. Here, you go directly into the hallway. On the left side in front of you, you can now enter an apartment, and the floor is broken through in the right room of the apartment. Here you can go down one floor.
Once you arrive at the new apartment, you'll find three of the spawns you're looking for in the closed room next door. One is in the book on the table to the right, another is in the drawer on the couch, and the last spawn is on the armchair in the back to the left. When you are done here, go to the kitchen of the apartment, there are two more spawns right by the open oven.
Even though it is unsafe to enter the Marked Room on the Streets of Tarkov map without a key, it is usually worth it unless someone has already been there before you. To enter the room, you first have to get to the center of the Industrial Zone, right next to the hall with the big windows.
When you get there, look for a truck. Behind the truck is a hole in the wall through which you can enter a staircase. Here you go to the top floor into a room with three windows. To get into the Marked Room, you must jump onto the middle window's windowsill. Then carefully take a small step forward so that you fall down the wall of the building and run backward. You are now in the Marked Room of Streets of Tarkov.
There is also a good spot in the Cinema Zone where you can pick up some loot. But first, you must see if you can find the Hideout Key at its fixed spawn location. It is located in a small room right next to the main road. We mark the room on the map of Streets of Tarkov in the following picture gallery.
If you found the key, chances are high that no one has been in the Hideout room yet. This is because the key only has one use before it breaks. The room is on the left side of the stairs leading to the movie theater. Next to the door, you're looking for "Home" is written in large letters. Inside the room, you can find one of the gold spawns, plus there's some more loot lying around.
Why are stashes so coveted? You can find almost every item in the game in these small stashes. So every stash you loot gives you a chance to make a big catch. Not only as PMC can you increase your loot, but also, as Scav, you often have the chance to take some very desirable items out of the raid. The following map of the Escape From Tarkov Map Streets of Tarkov from 2023 shows all known stashes.
We will update this map as more stash locations are known. |
On the Streets of Tarkov map, you can meet Scavs almost everywhere outside the buildings. Especially the main streets, the construction site, the Concordia, and the used car dealer usually have a very high scav activity. There is also the point that a lot of players go hunting for players and good loot as a scav because of the good loot on the map.
Currently, two bosses can spawn in two different areas, but that doesn't seem to be the case very often. In some raids, Glukhar and his guards can be found in the used car dealer area, and Killa can spawn in the Pinewood Hotel. The easiest way to defeat these two bosses is to read our guides to Reserve and Interchange.
In most places, you can use the houses and lots of covers when fighting scavs, so you can always come out in other places and take a shot. You can also take out many of the scavs on the main road at long range if you have a good sight of your weapon.
Of course, there are some locked doors on Streets of Tarkov again. Since the map has just been released, there may still be unknown doors and keys. So if you find something we haven't mentioned in our guide, feel free to write it in the comments.
