With the December update in the ARPG MMO Lost Ark, the Festivity Island has been added to the game and with it a small Christmas event. Find out how to get to the island, which quests await you, and how the event works.
Here’s what’s going on: The December update in Lost Ark came online on December 14, 2022, and in addition to new raids, the summoner class, and Christmas decorations, it also brought a new island where you can complete quests and an event.
Here you can Find the Festivity Island in Lost Ark
The Festivity Island is located south of Shushire, in the northeast of the world map, and requires an item level of 250 to enter. The first quest, “[Event] Invitation in the Snow”, is automatically given to you via the Guide tab in your Quest Journal.
Attention: The island is part of an event. Currently, we have no details when or if the island will disappear again. |
Here you will Find all Mokoko Seeds on Festivity Island
Unfortunately, you won’t find any Mokoko seeds on Festivity Island.
How to Get the Island Soul
At this point, we don’t know if there is an Island Soul on Festivity Island. If there is one, you will probably get it as rare loot from the event boss. If you have more info, feel free to write us a comment!

This is How the Event on Festivity Island Works
About every 2 hours, the “Defending Dreams” event starts in the center of Festivity Island. The boss “Holly Jolly Boris” appears, and you have to defeat him. Particularly annoying about the event boss are his movements. He often jumps back and forth and changes his target. So melee fighters have to chase a lot and ranged fighters have to time their attacks well. In between, Boris charges up a strong attack that you should run out of. However, the boss doesn’t do particularly much damage.
After you defeated the boss, 25 players have to /dance to celebrate the victory. Basically a very simple event, but where you can get even more Joytide Stars.
These are the rewards:
- 50 x Joytide Stars
Tip: During the fight against Boris he drops candy canes in between. You can collect them and use them as a weapon. This won’t do much damage, but you’ll get 1 to 2 Joytide Stars extra with each hit.
This is what the Joytide Stars are for on Festivity Island
If you have collected enough Joytide Stars through the quests, the event, and the Daily, you can exchange them at the merchant “Father Joytide” on the island for various items. By default, there are again:
- Honing Material
- Card Packs
- Unas Task Items
- Currency boxes
- Essences
- Fireworks
- Snowmen
- Cookies
- Rapport Relic Chests
But you can also buy special items at the merchant, for which you have to save a little longer:
- Christmas Teddy Bear Costume
- Rudolph-Chamkuri Mount
