The Phantom Liberty Skill Tree expands V's arsenal of skills in Cyberpunk 2077. Here, you can find out more about the new skills involved.
Here's the deal: Phantom Liberty, the first and only DLC expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, mainly brings a new spy thriller to Night City. However, it also includes an additional skill tree that provides six new skills in three categories for saving the NUSA president.
In this article, we'll explain how the Relic Skill Tree works and describe how it helps the player hero V on his mission.
This is how the Relic Skill Tree works: The new skill tree in Cyberpunk 2077 is called "Relic" for a reason. Unlike the other skill trees of the dystopian role-playing game, this one is not fed with regular attribute points, but with Relic points.
A total of 15 of these are available in the course of Phantom Liberty, which doesn't quite correspond to the number of unlocking options. The skills in the categories "Jailbreak", "Emergency Cloaking" and "Vulnerability Analytics" are unlocked with three Relic Points each, while the actual skills are unlocked with one Relic Point each.
The aforementioned skill categories refer to various pieces of cyberware that your character wears on their body. Also, more importantly, the categories are tailored to specific play styles. Below you'll find out what that means exactly, and what each skill does.
Jailbreak unlocks new skills for the arm cyberware. (Phantom Liberty Skill Tree from Cyberpunk 2077)
Jailbreak is the "loud" category of the Phantom Liberty skill tree (see image above). It bundles skills for the arm cyberware that care little for noise and obviousness. In short: This is used to attack openly and violently and solve many a dicey situation.
Once Jailbreak has been unlocked by investing three Relic Points, the following skills can be activated for the price of one Relic Point each:

Spatial Mapping | When this skill is active, you can paralyze enemies by jumping attacks with Mantis Blades. It also increases your chance to cripple the enemy for 10 seconds. |
Limiter Removal | When this skill is active, it is possible to use the shockwave from charged attacks with the Gorrila arms to throw all opponents within range to the ground. |
| Launch Capacity Override | When this skill is active, the missile launch system may be overcharged. Specifically, "Launch Capacity Override" gives an additional point to the maximum charge of the system. |
Data Tunneling | When this skill is active, a Quickhack applied to a single enemy can transfer to other enemies. To do this, the respective Quickhack must be uploaded via a monowire and a normal monowire attack must hit several enemies at the same time. |
Emergency Cloaking improves cyberware for visual camouflage. (Phantom Liberty Skill Tree from Cyberpunk 2077)
As the name Emergency Cloaking suggests, the skill behind this category is for a stealthy playstyle. It refers to the cyberware for optical camouflage, which is improved here so that opponents can lose sight of you.

Sensory Protocol | When this skill is active, you get an escape option if you are spotted by an enemy. By crouching down, you slow down time, allowing you to rush out of the enemy's field of vision. The cooldown is two minutes. |

Vulnerability Analytics reveals weak points of enemy armor and cyberware. (Phantom Liberty Skill Tree from Cyberpunk 2077)
The Vulnerability Analytics category of the Phantom Liberty skill tree is an ability for tacticians. Basically, it's about revealing weaknesses in the enemy's armor and cyberware, and then exploiting them, of course.
| Skill | Description |
Machine Learning | When this skill is active and you destroy an enemy weak point, you increase the appearance frequency of new weaknesses by 10%. You also deal 5% more critical damage against weak points. The effect lasts for 25 seconds, and it can be stacked up to five times. Once the maximum number of stacks is reached, the latter effects double. |
