Having your ship repaired in Starfield is an irritating affair in the absence of shipyards. This guide reveals where to get your damaged spaceship fixed up.
Here’s the deal: Where can you get your spaceship repaired in Starfield? Is this perhaps a more complex, time-consuming affair, which on top of that tears a big black hole in the spaceship’s coffers? The answer is “no.” The problem with ship repair is simply that it’s not done quite where you’d probably expect it to be done.
That’s because shipyards don’t exist in Starfield, but ship technicians who can restore your flying pile of junk to new condition do. But where do these gentlemen “hide” if they can’t hang around in shipyards? Our guide knows the answer to this question.
How to Repair Your Ship in Starfield
Although enemy ships are not easy to find in Starfield (here you’ll learn how to find enemies faster) there are several space battles to be fought, at least within the story. Your spaceship will be more or less severely damaged, so it’s best to visit a ship’s technician right after the shooting. He can repair your flying machine, and that within a second, by the way.
For this service, the technician usually charges you 1000 credits, a relatively small price for a spaceship that is in top shape again after the treatment. And: All you have to do is find a ship technician, talk to him and tell him to please repair your ship. So there’s only one question left to be answered, and that’s where to find the technicians.

Ship Technician: Location in New Atlantis
The fastest way to give your spaceship a general overhaul is to head for the “starting planet” Jemison in Alpha Centauri and land there in New Atlantis. Of course, you already know this city from the introduction of Starfield.
And as it sometimes happens with the forest and the many trees, a ship technician stands only a few meters away from your landing place; directly ahead near the trade automat of the trade supervision.
Ship Technician: Location in New Atlantis
In addition, however, ship technicians can be found in the other major cities of the populated systems, should you for some reason not want to head to New Atlantis. A useful example is Lon Anderssen, a roughneck repairman based in the Red Mile Run building.
So you could take this opportunity to join the said run and collect rich rewards. But be careful: the Red Mile Run is anything but a piece of cake.
You will find Lon Anderssen on the planet Porrima III in the Porrima system. It is located on the star map a bit east of Alpha Centauri; see also the pictures below. You can’t miss the Red Mile Run building after landing. Enter it and walk straight ahead, but do not turn left into the bar, but right towards an adjoining room.
Behind the door there, Anderssen is waiting to “delight” you with his bad mood. By the way, if nothing is defective on your ship, not even this misepeter will charge you a fee, although he actually could.
