How many safes and locked doors are in Stray? In the entire adventure, you will only find 2 safes and 2 locked doors. Not only can you find them in the slums, but also later in the game in Midtown.
All Safe Codes in Stray
There are two safes that you can find in the game. Their codes are often hidden nearby. The first safe is in the slums, the second in midtown.
The First Safe in the Slums (Chapter 4)
The first safe is in the slums to the right of the musician robot on a junk pile in the corner. For the code you have to go into the bar, hop on the counter and knock down the picture on your left. You can find the code scrawled on the wall directly behind it.

Inside the safe you will find Sheet Music No. 8, which you can hand in to the musician. We have given you a guide where you can find the other 7 sheets of music.
The Second Safe in Midtown (Chapter 10)
The second safe is in Midtown, specifically in Paoudre’s electronics shop, who doesn’t particularly like you. To get to the safe, you have to climb up the shelf. To get the code, go behind the counter and interact with the poster on the store’s partition. “2458 :edoC” appears, the code backwards.
- The code is: 8542
Inside the safe you will find a small badge that your cat will attach to itself.
All Door Codes in Stray
In Stray, you will only find two locked doors that you have to open with a code. One is right at the start of the game and is hard to miss. You have to open them to progress in the story. You also have to open the second door for the story. She is in the slums.
The First Door in The Flat (Chapter 3)
To open the first door in The Flat, which is very early in the game, you have to go into the dark room next door. Turn on B-12’s light (left directional pad on the controller) and look around. On the left side of the wall, above the shelf, you will see “Code=374” written in red. A bucket of paint blocks your further view. So you jump up to push the paint bucket away.

The Second Door in the Slums (Chapter 6)
At some point in the story you will visit Seamus’ house in the slums. His father Doc has a secret laboratory there and you have to find the entrance. The door is located directly in the living room and the input device for the code can be reached via a sideboard. To find out the right code, simply look at the 4 clocks on the wall of the room and type in the times.
- The code is: 2511
