In the co-op survival game Valheim there are currently 5 bosses that you have to defeat for Odin’s blessing. But they are not that easy to find or even conquer! We’ll tell you how to call and defeat the third boss Bonemass.

This is the third Boss Bonemass
This is Bonemass: The third and probably most difficult boss is located in the swamp area and can only be found once you have defeated The Elder. The Elder drops a key that you can use to unlock the crypts in the swamp. In these, you will not only find Withered Bones, which you need for summoning but also the runestone for the exact position of the slimy “Bonemass”.

- Bonemass Power increases your defense against physical damage for 5 minutes when activated.
What you need for summoning: Once you have found the location for the sacrifice ritual, you must sacrifice the correct item. You have to collect 10 Withered Bones for this. You can find the bones in the crypts of the swamp biome. Once you have them together, you can offer them at the shrine and Bonemass will appear.
These are Bonemass abilities: The slime boss has three different abilities that he uses against you:
- Bonemass has a simple melee punch.
- He exposes the environment to a cloud of poison that wreaks havoc.
- Now and then he summons up skeletons, slimes, or zombie-like oozers.
How to beat Bonemass: This is probably the most brutal fight in the game. Bonemass has a high tolerance for all harm. Only blunt weapons seem to have an effect. In combat, you should wear iron armor yourself and wield a strong butt weapon. A mace or hammer is ideal here. You can completely forget about a bow, because even a leveled stick causes more damage here.
Bonemass will always heal in between. At best, you stay close to him and beat him up without a break. Use your shield to block his melee attack. You should also have Mead for poison resistance with you to counteract the poison cloud. You destroy the summoned opponents as fast as you can. If you are playing with friends, one should concentrate on the small opponents, while the other remains permanently on Bonemass.
