Fans of Escape From Tarkov have been waiting for the new Streets of Tarkov map for a long time, and time and again the developers share new screenshots of the map. In the meantime, the community has been able to determine an exact layout and appearance of Streets of Tarkov from the individual images and trailers.
What’s going on? Once again, developer Battlestate Games has released new screenshots of the upcoming new Tarkov map “Streets of Tarkov”. The map is set in the heart of the Russian provincial capital. So friends of house fights may jump for joy for once. According to the map is drawn by deep canyons of houses, many walkable buildings, rubble on the streets and overgrown backyards. With over 50 images and two trailers, the community around YouTuber Noice Guy has been able to determine exactly how Streets of Tarkov is structured.
Streets of Tarkov layout seems to be known – This is how accurate the community map is
In a video, YouTuber Noice Guy stitches together several images of the Streets of Tarkov map and uses them to recreate the layout of the map. In doing so, he looks at buildings in the background that are clearly visible in several images, and thus triangulates the positions where the developers took the screenshots. NoiceGuy receives support from Reddit users, who have created several maps based on his work:
The latest images of the Tarkov map Streets of Tarkov actually seem to confirm the community’s theses. Once again, Battlestate Games invites you to recreate the map even more accurately. That this works well is shown by an example from Grand Theft Auto, where fans were already able to recreate the map due to confirmed leaks.
What do we know for sure? The developer has confirmed only one thing about Streets: it is the largest map that exists and will exist in Escape From Tarkov. The largest area is also accompanied by the attribute “most players” and the most scavs. More specifically, Streets of Tarkov is so large that a round must be filled with at least 30 to 40 PMC players. Player count and size of the map was revealed by chief developer Nikita Buyanov during the latest TarkovTV livestream. We also know from recently released trailers that there is a BRT wheeled tank haunting the EFT map Streets of Tarkov.
The fabled release of Streets of Tarkov also seems to have been postponed once again. First, the map was supposed to be released as early as 2021, then in the summer of 2022, and now the developers are expecting 2023. However, you won’t be able to explore everything at the map’s launch. Streets of Tarkov will therefore start small and be enlarged in the following months.
