The Thylacoleo in ARK: Survival Evolved is a large tiger-like wild cat that can be mainly found in the Redwood Forest biome on the maps we will mention below.
In our guide about the Thylacoleo, you will learn everything you need to know about the wild cat. But also how to capture it, tame it, feed it and breed offspring.
Appearance: The physique of the Thylacoleo shows that it is a large wild cat that resembles tigers or panthers.
Wild: The Thylacoleo is an aggressive wildcat that will attack anything in its aggression radius. With its ability to climb up anything with an angle greater than 90°, the Thylacoleo can also get you off your mount in mid-air while traveling on a flying mount, in the Redwood Forest, for example.
Domesticated: If you have tamed a Thylacoleo, you can use the ability we mentioned above for yourself to sneak up on enemies or creatures. In addition, the Thylacoleo is a pretty strong mount, which proves its ability, especially in combat.
The Thylacoleo is discoverable in these spots:
How to hunt a Thylacoleo: If you see a Thylacoleo you'd like to tame, set a few bear traps and go into its field of vision. Get as close to it as you can, or hit it to make it want to attack you. Lure it into the bear trap and shoot it unconscious once it is pinned down.
Since Thylacoleo can only climb up walls or trees that are 90° or more, you can also shoot him unconscious from a steep cliff or ledge.
How to tame it: Once it is unconscious, put the kibble or meat in its inventory and wait for it to eat it. To keep the stun level up, use narcotics or narcoberries.

To craft the Thylacoleo Saddle, you must reach level 51 and spend 18 engram points to unlock the recipe. Now you need the following resources to craft it:
Once you have tamed your Thylacoleo, it is important to know what it likes to eat. Thylacoleo are carnivores, which of course, makes the choice of food easier.
This is how you prepare the breeding: If you have a male and female specimen, you build an enclosure that is large enough. Put both dinos in the pen and set them to "wander" via the command menu. Alternatively, you can switch directly to "Pair", but there must always be a player nearby; otherwise, the pairing will stop due to the rendering.
The breeding interval of a Thylacoleo is 18 to 48 hours.
After successful mating, the female Thylacoleo will be pregnant for about 4 hours if you play on standard settings. After these 4 hours, you can welcome the little Thylacoleo baby to the world. As a baby, it needs another 5 hours of your attention, during which you must keep putting food in its inventory. Pay attention to the imprinting intervals every 8 hours to get the best stats out of the baby.
Once it gains juvenile status, it can feed itself from troughs. The total maturation time takes about 2 days and 1 hour.
