In a survival game, death can befall you in many different ways, including freezing to death. In the classic survival game The Forest, you also need certain equipment to protect yourself against icy weather: a warm suit.
The warm suit in The Forest is a craftable piece of equipment that you can make yourself. The prerequisite is, of course, that you have all the necessary materials together. In our guide we will show you which resources you require for the production and how to craft the warm suit.
Before you can craft the warm suit, you first have to go hunting. This can take quite a while, because you need many skins for the warmth suit:
Of all these materials, raccoon skin might be the most difficult to get. Raccoons are only found in certain areas. But don't worry, you can easily find out how to get raccoon skins in our guide. The other skins are much easier to get.
The best place to hunt wild boars is near the border of the snow biom. Go to the northern region of the island and position yourself neither in the west nor in the east, but in the middle below the snow biom border. Here you should quickly run into several wild boars.
The deer skins and rabbit skins will probably give you the least trouble. Deer, just like rabbits, can actually be found all over the island. However, the shy forest dwellers are most often found in the northeast of the map, but south of the snow area.
The last things you need is 2x cloth and 2x rope. You can often find both in cannibal camps, in caves or in suitcases. Once you've spent a few minutes searching, you should have the materials you need.
At some point, you won't be able to avoid crafting a warm suit, at least if you want to explore the entire island. This is because the warmth suit protects you from cold damage in particularly cold areas, such as the island's snow biom. If you travel to the snow biom without a warm suit, you would start taking cold damage after about 15 seconds.
