The 5 Best Tips and Tricks for Hogwarts Legacy Beginners
To help you progress in the role-playing game as effectively as possible, especially in the beginning, we have a few tips and tricks for you.
1. Focus on the Lessons and the Assignments
Especially at the beginning of the game, you have few spells to choose from. To change that, you need to attend and complete the various classes. Afterward, the teacher will give you specific tasks to complete in the world. These are often specific ways in which you should use a spell – for example; you should cast Depulso on an enemy that is flying in the air.
Through these additional assignments, you’ll learn to cast more powerful spells and be better equipped for later battles.
2. Increase the Number of your Spell Slots
Your spell slots are limited and fill up very quickly, especially if you follow tip #1. To increase your spell slots, you need to increase your spell knowledge at the core talents. The first two times you can do this at level 5 and spell knowledge III can be unlocked at level 16.

3. Unlock Mounts
We have already shown you how to get your first broom to fly. However, it is also useful to have mounts. Mounts can move quickly in the air and on the ground and offer several advantages over the broom.

However, you unlock mounts only at level 17, and then you have to complete the main mission “The High Keep”. Here you will get your first Hippogriff. After that, you will have access to the exclusive mount from the Digital Deluxe Edition.
4. Get Money Fast
If you want to get money as quickly as possible, you should look for the eye treasure chests. These chests are distributed in and around Hogwarts and reward you with 500 gold/galleon when you open them. However, you can’t open them easily, but there is a trick to it. We’ll tell you how to open the eye treasure chests.
5. Capture all Creatures you Find
Since you’ll need a lot of materials to craft and upgrade items later in the game, it makes sense to start capturing all the creatures you encounter in the game as early as possible.
The magical creatures produce these materials and will gladly give them to you when you take care of them. At best, you’ll be on the lookout for male and female specimens so that they can mate.
