Ever since Diablo Immortal launched, the community has been seething due to the Pay2Win factor in the game. There has been a lot of turmoil lately, especially when it comes to legendary gems. In our guide, we will show you how you can produce extremely important pieces of equipment without using real money.
In Diablo Immortal you can find regular gems and legendary gems. While the normal stones increase certain attributes, the legendary gems give you two unique bonuses. However, these can only be socketed into legendary items on primary equipment slots, i.e. into:
Each legendary item can have a maximum of one legendary socket. So you can equip a maximum of six Legendary Gems at a time. You can recognize the rank of your legendary gems by the stars. There are 1-star gems, 2-star gems, and 5-star gems. For the five-star gems, not all the stars may be filled in yellow. This tells you that the gem hasn't reached its maximum rank yet.
Diablo Immortal offers you the opportunity to craft legendary gems yourself. However, you need different runes for this. Which runes you need, depends on the respective gemstone and will be displayed to you directly at the jeweler.
You can get runes mainly via the elder portal in connection with rare emblems. The Battle Pass also provides you with some runes. You can also exchange the extinguishing sparks, which you also get in the Elder Portal, for runes at the merchant. So the order to craft a legendary gem is:
Warning: just making a 5-star gem doesn't mean it has 5 full stars. Manufacturing speaks only of a legendary gem with up to five stars.
There are other ways to get Legendary Gems. Again, you have to fight your way through the elder portals. This time, however, you must reinforce the portals with a legendary emblem. This guarantees you a legendary gem at the end of the portal.
Legendary emblems can be obtained without using real money, primarily at the Hilt dealer. You can purchase a Legendary Emblem from Lieutenant Fizriah for 1,600 Hilts each month. You'll also receive other Legendary Emblems as part of the Shadows or as a member of the Immortals.
Your Legendary Gems can be upgraded at the Jeweler, just like regular Gems. Each upgrade requires identical gems of the same rank and a certain amount of gem power. You gain this power by dismantling other Legendary Gems.
Caution: Only disassemble gems that you really no longer need! The same applies here as when upgrading legendary items. As soon as you can upgrade, you should do it. With each upgrade, the bonuses awarded become stronger.
