The Titanoboa is for snake fans in ARK: Survival Evolved. Mainly, she’s tamed for her crippling venom, or just because she looks cool. It is not rideable and non-breedable, but still produces eggs that are important for kibble or special kibble.
Find out everything you need to know about the giant snake in our Titanoboa guide. But also how to catch, tame, and feed them.
This is the Titanoboa in ARK: Survival Evolved
Appearance: The Titanoboa is an oversized snake that outshines even the largest anaconda. Similar to the Dilophosaurus, it has a colorful collar behind its head. The Titanoboa’s body is thick and strong, and its mouth has rows of sharp teeth.
Wild: The highly aggressive Titanoboa will attack you immediately if you get too close. While attacking you, she will pursue you relentlessly and try to kill you. Even escaping into the water won’t help you since Titanoboas are good swimmers. After a bite from her, poison enters your body with a paralyzing effect.
Domesticated: The Titanoboa isn’t quite as useful when tamed as other creatures in the Ark world, but it can still paralyze other creatures should you have it as a pet by your side. You can also harvest their crippling poison.
How to tame the Titanoboa in ARK
You tame the Titanoboa passively, which means you don’t have to hunt and stun them beforehand.
Before you get ready to tame a Titanoboa, make sure you have enough fertilized eggs. We’ve created a table for you below that shows which fertilized dinosaur egg has what food and affinity value. The following applies: the larger the values, the faster the taming.
Once you have prepared all the eggs, all you need is a tamed creature that is able to fly. Sit on it and put the eggs in your far-right slot, fly over the Titanoboa, and drop the egg in front of her. Each egg she eats increases her taming progress.
IMPORTANT: While taming, you must not approach or fly too close to the Titanoboa, as it will then become aggressive and the taming will have failed. This means that you can’t just check how much the taming has progressed in between.
How to feed a Titanoboa in ARK
Once you have tamed your Titanoboa, it is important to know what it likes to eat. The Titanoboa only eats fertilized eggs from other creatures. We have enumerated the effectiveness of eggs for you, starting with the Giganotosaurus egg, which is Titanoboa’s favorite dish:
